I don't think I will ever understand how you guys route all those digital effects and midi patches and four-cables and effects loops and all that stuff. Well, unlike namklak, I'm pretty caveman-like about this stuff, but I don't have any problem running a G Major in the FX loop and controlling ever...

Correct. The G Major won't respond to the JVM foot switch. It only recognizes MIDI commands, but fortunately so can the JVM so a MIDI pedal can control both. It's the same setup I have. We've seen them fall off the top of two stacked 4x12s and, except for the tubes, survive intact. Good luck. You're probably going to be happy.
