Does the JVM head really not fit the JVM212C?

After years of lurking, I came back to the old fountain of wisdom with a question [smilie=icon_mrgreen.gif] A friend of mine just bought a used 2007 JVM and he's looking for a cab for it. I suggested the JVM212C cabinet loved the idea of having a V30 and H30 in one cab. However, as I told other user...

A little update

First of all, a "business-like" apology: a while ago, I appointed myself the dictator of the Mod Catalogue, and if there were any new mods that were around and didn't get added because your message fell on a... deaf... inbox?... from my part, I sincerely apologize and hope the other guys sorted it o...

Re: Love my Blackstart HT1-M (metal)

The Hayden MoFo 30 might be up your alley. Not sure if the new one is just a "re-skin" or if it also sounds different, but if I were in the market for a <50W lunchbox amp, this is the one I'd get. Sounds great, has FX, capable of cleans, also has solo boost and adjustable power.

Re: EVH 5150 III

I finally had the chance to test-drive one of these monsters and I honestly don't know what all the fuss is about. Before y'all converge on me, let me explain. I don't mean that in a bad way or in a "the EVH isn't that impressive" way. To me, the EVH sounds so similar to the JVM it's almost ridiculo...

Re: What do you guys use for your solo boost

OD2 Orange, Gain on 3/4-ish, Channel volume noon = rhythm OD1 Red, Gain on 3ish, boosted mids and cut trebles and Channel volume 1 o'clock = lead That way I don't even need MV2, but I may use it together with the OD1 Red preset if I need more boost. The extra mids and slight CV bump are usually enou...

Re: Marshall price bump (Europe)

Yeah, but like I said, I looked at other stores and they, too, have higher prices on everything Marshall - and yeah, the JVM410HJS is also cheaper. For example: http://www.dv247.com/guitars/marshall-jvm410hjs-joe-satriani-signature-guitar-amp-head--96782 http://www.dv247.com/guitars/marshall-jvm410h...

Marshall price bump (Europe)

JVM is now 1800€ (used to be 1350€). A 1960 cabinet is around 850€ (used to be 650€) and the 1960V is 1000€ (used to be 700€). This is from thomann, Europe's biggest music store. I've seen the JVM and other things go for less, but it's always +200 to +400€. What the hell is going on?! [smilie=icon_e...

Are you sure you're talking about the same head? To me, DSL100H means the "new" DSL, the series released in 2012, not the JCM2000.

Re: Multi-effect Suggestion Please

Since you stated you need only effects, I can put in a good word for the BOSS GT series. Maybe it's just me, but I think the actual effects on these units sound marvellous (whereas the preamps and ODs mostly suck), not to mention they all double up as a MIDI footcontroller.

The epic tuner saga is finally over and I'm right back where I started [smilie=icon_mad.gif] First, they sent me the wrong pair of tuners (staggered, 19.5/18.0), which didn't fit of course. Then, I went to exchange them and get my money back. The guy at the store told me that they have indeed found ...

Re: How do you keep people away from your pedalboard/FOH gea

Way to go, DH, smoothly handled [smilie=icon_mrgreen.gif] Or you could just do like Watain, kick them. [smilie=icon_eek.gif] They didn't have "people messing with pedalboard/FOH" problems, but "people messing with stage props" problems. I saw them in Kranj a while back and some idiot kept reaching u...

Re: Sold my JVM

The JVM isn't the best amp to mod since much is shared. If you change something it often changes something else too. Not sure what you mean by this. You can mod every channel separately, to the point that you get 4 different amp "clones". This is, of course, in terms of voicing . In tems of gain an...
