Re: Thinking about getting a 410H.....again

I remember your comparison video - it was great! I had a 2203 for 25 years before getting the JVM. I haven't played it since, although to be fair, a lot of the JVM mods I have done were aimed at getting a more "2203" sound and feel, particularly on the "Crunch" channel.... Thank you! I remember you...

Thinking about getting a 410H.....again

Some years ago after many years of Mesa boogie I returned to Marshall with a 410h. I gigged and recorded with it for several years. I also had an HJS and did a comparison video. However I traded the JVM about a year ago after getting a 2203. I recently was listening to a song I recorded with OD1 Gre...

Re: Old JVM user just ordered a JS !!

I'm seriously thinking of picking one up again. Listening to some old live recordings and my guitar stands out in the mix. It always seemed a bit muddy in the low end to me. I can hear it a little in the live mix but not as bad as I thought. I kind of remember people talking about a mod to fix that....

Back in love with the 410H

I was asked to perform some songs at a local college for a theatrical performance. There were some highly respected musicians I never played before so I took the gig. A couple of the songs were "Carry on Wayward Son" and "I will Survive". Needing versatility I broke out the 410H since I haven't used...

Re: Latest JVM Journey...The Important Mods

I don't mind the GT1275's. I would agree they can be a little flat until broken in. I have always struggled to like the V30. But the cream backs are sweet!

Not sure if it's in store only. If your interested call 585-424-2188 and ask for Dave or Sarah. Tell them Rob Miller sent you. You probably would have to pay shipping.

Re: Returning The 2555x, Keeping My HJS,

I'm glad you did it straight up so you can return it lol. That way you didn't lose anything. It sucks that the HJS isn't in my studio anymore. But curiosity was resolved for you my friend. I've always wanted to try a JMD-1 but never have! But I was cranking the 410H today. Then the 2555x and JCM2000...

Thank you! Believe me I wish I could keep her. Just didn't have the coin..... But I'm loving the jubilee [smilie-rock]

Re: Unloaded my HJS

The HJS is gone :( In the end I found in my comparison video I preferred the recorded sound of the H over the JS on most modes so that is why I made the decision to keep the H. Me too!... Your comparison Video was an eye-opener! I had always assumed that the JS would have been a better choice for m...

Doug sounds like Doug no matter what he plays through! He does switch it up from time to time. Im Curious if he uses the 2000 for clean and Jubilee for the dirt.

Re: So one had to go - Mulletmule decides.....

Mulletmule - interested in what led to you keeping the 410H and letting the JS go and how your new Jub reissue is comparing. 2 factors really. One as I said in the other post. I can always mod my H towards the JS. I really didn't care fore the loose low end. The second was money. The JS was worth m...
