Re: Tax Season Sale - JVM410HJS Joe Satriani, AHW cabs
Same deal as above with cables, but lowered the price for today to see if anyone wants the whole deal for the price of a new head.

Re: Tax Season Sale - JVM410HJS Joe Satriani, AHW cabs
I lowered the price on the full stack. I've had a few inquiries, just thought I'd make it a more attractive package. I'll also include Lava Tephra Speaker cables and a long (`20-25 foot) Lava VDH Inspiration Hybrid Instrument Cable.

Tax Season Sale - JVM410HJS Joe Satriani, AHW cabs
The taxman hit me pretty hard this year. I need to sell my brand new JVM410HJS Joe Satriani Head and 1960AHW & 1960BHW Cabinets. The head and cabs were purchased brand new in December 2013. I put a quad of Psvane EL34PH tubes in and had it rebiased by Toobs Amplifier Service. I also had Marty send m...

Noise Gates on JVM410HJS sound "stepped"
I know the noise gates on the Satriani Head are more downward expanders than gates, but to my ears they tend to have very distinct "steps" in volume when clamping down from green to orange to red. Anyone else notice this and is there a way to minimize this effect? I had a Decimator G-String II, but ...

Re: 410HJS & Tube Screamer
I just ordered a TS808HW. I am going to run it in front of the Creation Holy Fire, as I have read the two together can sound incredible. I still need to assemble my board- hopefully within the next week.

JVM410HJS Channel Settings
Would anyone be willing to share their channel settings for their Satch Head? It would be great to have a good foundation to start with.
Also, where do I get one of those graphics I keep seeing everyone posting with their knob settings?

Re: 410HJS & Tube Screamer
I agree that the resonance does have a big impact on the bass quality of the amp - I like it pretty much off, too. I'm working on my board and have a few ODs - a Skreddy Screwdriver and Creation Audio Labs Holy Fire. I haven't actually tried either one but I'm thinking the Holy Fire may be the ticke...

I actually have a Mahogany UNK standard with Rio pickups (one of the handmade guitars that Paul made). The cabinets aren't ideal for it, but I can get close.

Re: What tubes for a Joe Satch JVM ?
I'm swapping out preamp and power tubes today. For V1 and V2 I'm trying NOS Mullard I63s (High Gain). For V3-V5 I'll be using NOS Sylvania Grey Plates. For power tubes I'm going to try the Psvane EL34PH tubes. They are replicas of the Phillips Holland Metal Base EL34s. I have a few friends using the...

Just wanted to say hello. I just picked up a JVM410HJS head and 1960AHW and 1960BHW cabs. Currently using a 2013 Wildwood Historic Spec 1959 Les Paul Custom and a Melancon Pro Artist T. Hope to gain lots of insight from the forum.

Help with Decimator II/G String II
I am going to using some of my pre-amp effects with both my JVM410HJS and my Louis Electric Buster. I wanted to use the Decimator G-String II in the loop of the JVM and then put a standard Decimator II after a Lehle Little Dual for when I switch to the Buster. Does anyone know if there will be a gro...
