Re: Sweet Child Of Mine (JVM410 / Gibson Les Paul)

@Andy + @RockmanCentral: Thank you too for your nice feedbacks! I forgotten to mention: As my stock power amp section tubes were quite worn-out after 4 years, I have replaced them with EH 6CA7 tube (before the recording). Although new tubes do always sound better than worn-out ones, I think these 6C...

Sweet Child Of Mine (JVM410 / Gibson Les Paul)

Hi there, pretty calm in this JVM-forum section. But I have to admit that I much more prefer playing music rather than talking about music equipment [smilie=icon_mrgreen.gif] I have recently recorded with my duo partner this Guns N' Roses - Cover and spiced it up a bit with our own flavour. My Gibso...

Re: JVM410HJS Satriani, tones, opinions

I guess the JVM has more negativ feedback than the HJS. That keeps the OD-channels (orange + red Mode) nicely thight for high gain sounds. The flipside of the higher amount of negativ feedback is that the crunch channel is not that dynamic and therefore not so responsive to pick attacks. Did a negat...

Re: JVM410HJS Satriani, tones, opinions

When I bought my JVM410 in 2014, I played a HJS side by side to the JVM410. The clean green channel of the HJS doesn't speak to me at all: dull and lifeless to my ears. That alone was already the show stopper. The clean green channel of the JVM410 is much more sparkling and warm. As a cover musician...

Re: The forum lives !

Andy that is just a great work to get this forum live again. I appreciate that a lot, because this JVM-forum has given me lots of good infos to run my JVM. By the way - you mentioned: "Looking to the future i'm thinking of charging 5 gbp for a signup to the forum and so with 3-4 signups per month it...

Re: A jazzy walk (JVM410 Clean Orange / feat. Didgeridoo+Hang)

All jvm tones seem to fit nicely, good job. Hi namklak, your feedback confirms my opinion that the JVM410 is also in the jazzy genre the all-purpose weapon. Nowadays, metal genres are hip. But it pains me sometimes that I mainly see JVMs-vids doing the "shredding thing". These amps are capable to b...

Re: A jazzy walk (JVM410 Clean Orange / feat. Didgeridoo+Hang)

Not really a jazz guy, but nicely done! Hi nato, thx for the feedback [smilie=gt-happyup.gif] I see that you are from Australia, so the Didge has probably warmed up your heart [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif] I am also not a jazz player. But I always wanted to add to my rock-oriented guitar playing a bit ...

A jazzy walk (JVM410 Clean Orange / feat. Didgeridoo+Hang)

My original plan was to make an instrumental song with a (swing)-jazzy vibe ... As the songwriting/recording process progess, the original song idea morphs into a fusion/cross over character with a jazzy vibe. This songs is also the story how I met on old school friend again. He lives now in New Zea...

Walking through the summer (guitar instrumental)

Walking through the summer – music by wolbai --------------------------------------------------------- Initially I wanted to make a quick backing track for a planned finger vibrato tutorial. But then, as often, a musical journey with it's own pace has started. Well, it finally has generated this gui...

Re: Free & Easy

Hi, nato, thanks for your feedback :-) I discover more and more the crunch red channel together with the volume knob on my guitar: Running this channel/mode, say with gain at 4/10, and a Tubescreamer in front, this channel can be nicely varied (from clean - crunch - lead) just with the volume knob o...

Re: Free & Easy

Hi Landry,

thanks for your nice feedback :-)

I am currently not playing in bands anymore. So home recording has become my passion. Doing it in a ambitious way, home recording can be as challenging and time consuming as any band project.

Free & Easy

Free & Easy – music + lyrics by wolbai Some thoughts how this song took shape: between the years I listen again to Blank & Jones. This is a cool Electronica & Dance-Duo and they have some international reputation for their chilled songs. This brought me to the idea for a new song with a "modern tou...

Re: Decent multi-effect pedal which can MIDI control JVM410h channels?

Have a look at my (probably overseen) Fractal audio FX8 review in this forum. Worked with a HD500 (as midi-control and FX-unit) for years and I can attest that the FX8 is the less colorable multi-fx I have ever used. It is especially designed for the 4cm usage. http://jvmforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.p...
