Re: Got my first JVM410 and I'm just WAW!

Congratulation on acquiring the 410H. I, too, tried the 410HJS many times with different cabs, tubes, guitars, etc., and I came to conclusion that it just wasn't the amp for me. I was immediately blown away first time I played a stock 410H at a music store back in late 2017; I could not believe tha...

Re: JVM #1

as far as I remember the main reason was that neither the DSL nor the TSL had choke, the JVM was initially the successor of the TSL. Some other amps like the JCM900s and the 6100 didn't have choke nor some competitors like the 5150. Technically it wasn't justified either because the JVM has a rathe...

Re: JVM 205C vs JVM 410C

Can anyone give their thoughts on the 205 over the 410. I currently have the 410H that I use with a Mesa and Marshall cab. I'm now trying to decide between the 2 to use at church and smaller places. I do use MIDI switching and pedals with my 410 now. Another thing the 205 is a used demo model from ...

Re: JVM #1

Hi, I've found some pictures of the very first JVM. The mechanics are slightly different to the production one although very close. This is the one that appeared in the first promotional video and also it was also used to develop full midi implementation with support for CC messages and later I use...

Re: Dbx 31 channel vs MXR 10 band

Get whichever best fulfills your need(s). If that seems too general, then a question: have you even tried either device at a store or borrowed either device from a friend/band mate/etc.? That kind of experience will be a great help in picking one over the other or at least ruling one out. Good luck ...

Re: Satriani Signature JVM discontinued

It's about time [smiley-surprised] . Though I had high hopes for it in the beginning, it kinda let me down after playing through a few them. I agree with the redundancy aspect some are saying in this thread, particularly in regards to OD2. I also didn't like the gate (they seemed to close down on th...

Re: JVM's & modelers/profilers....the future?

I bought a kemper, partly so I'd stop being tempted to buy more amps, and partly it has helped , does " some things " very well but there is an element of, The emperor's new clothes to it [ i,e I paid allot of money for it and all the big pros are using it, so it must be great ! ] but I have to say...

Re: JVM JVM205H VS. JVM205C

@OP: We all got our own unique situations to deal with, so I empathize. I suggest going with the JVM head versus the cab. Here are a couple reasons: 1) you can select any cab and speaker(s). 2) you can ditch the cab and plug the JVM head straight into house PA system 3) you can split the load with a...

Re: JVM410 and MIDI CC commands

I always thought that the Joe Satriani JVM410HJS does communicate via MIDI CC commands (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). If so, then you should be able to map out most switches on the 410HJS to your G-System via your MIDI foot-controller.

Re: Successor of Marshall JVM or new Marshall

Hi all, The Marshall JVM has been around for 11 years now. Does anyone know if there will be a new JVM or a successor? 11 years is even alot for a company like Marshall. Anyone know anything? Brgds, Daniel I don't know anything for certain, but I doubt there will be a new JVM series, or a JVM versi...

Re: Boss ES-8 or Gigrig G2?

Anyone have experience with both of these and JVM(410h)? Have the chance to buy both second hand at the moment, even though the G2 is much more expensive, I am wondering if the price warrants the difference in features/usability? The Boss unit obviously has a few more options/menu's, G2 seems simpl...

Re: An article about the JVMHJs

In regards to why Joe feels most amps are designed the way they are (which he feels is the opposite of his 410HJS), he states, "I didn’t feel that was a professional-grade setup, though I understand why it’s done… 90% of the market or more is made of enthusiasts and amateurs. There’s very few of us ...

I gotta believe the drawing makes it look worse than it really is in real life. Besides, I've seen way worse that what's drawn, as I'm sure most people on this and other forums could probably say, too.

Re: New JVM's Shipping with different Foot Switches

I don't know about describing the new footswitches as an "improvement," but I have the first version of the footswitch and it's been pretty reliable: the switches, the LEDs, the output jack, etc., has all worked pretty well for me. I've heard Santiago say the new switches are more "reliable" but I'm...
