Re: JVM 210H Sound Cuts Off

Welcome to the forum.

You should have that amp checked by a qualified tech asap to avoid further possible damage. It could be a number of things varying from an easy to fix bad connection in the preamp circuit to a more dangerous and potentially expensive fault in the power amp section.

You can IF you leave the amp on stand-by (only Power on).
This amp doesn't have a stand-by button. It's a jvm-1h.
I missed that - sorry. No clue in that case.

Re: Return to JVM

Welcome back, Rob! [smilie=welcome_smiley.gif]

That's a nice amp collection you have there. The only issue I can think of is that some early JVM's suffered from bad solder joints on a fuse holder on the pcb. This was fixed in later models, but I don't know when. This is 410H only, not the HJS.

Re: OK to leave the amp on STAND-BY for long hours?

It's good practice to use the standby when first powering up the amp,[says so in the manual] let the power tubes warm up then rock out. Leaving it on for hours when not using it is nuts. It's not like a modern standby mode in your TV or Home Theater gear. Where all that is powered is a LED lamp. Yo...

Re: OD1 Green rules

A 50W JCM800 isn't what I would call scaling down... 50W is alomst as loud as 100W, but with less headroom. I agree with Sirion it needs to be pushed to sound good, unlike the JVM series. Did you consider the Marshall SC20H with a 1x12 or 2x12 cab? It's basically a JCM800 2203, but with switchable o...

Re: Ditching the JVM

Honestly, I never use my HJS at home - just for gigging. I don't see myself holding on to it if I would never perform on stage anymore. I use Guitar Rig and AmpliTube at home... Much easier and better sounding (headphones) than any real amp in that situation. Maybe it would be different if I lived f...

Sorry, I meant Boss Delay Pedals...
Did you try switching to instrument loop levels (-10dBV) on the back of the amp?

My bad, I didn't realize DD stands for Digital Delay... duh... These should work fine in the loop.

Re: Any Boss Pedals work in the JVM Loop?

Any Boss Pedals work in the JVM Loop? I play high gain on OD1 and OD@. The DD3 is distorting. Any luck witrh DD6, DD7, or DD20 for High gain? Personally, I would never place drive pedals in the loop. IMO, they sound much better in front of the amp and that is also what they were designed for. Most ...

Re: Sold my JVM & got an Axe-Fx

thank you captain obvious, that's what I was using, the JSJVM Orange mode, [smilie-eyeroll] but I've gone back to just using my JVM without the Axe at all anyway. With an MXR 10 band in the loop I'm getting the best sounds I've ever gotten out of this thing. I'm probably switching over to a FriedMa...

Re: Sold my JVM & got an Axe-Fx

But why on earth would you run an AxeFx JVM model through an actual JVM? You already have a real JVM! WTF! smilie=icon_lol.gif Yeah, that seems silly - but the point he is trying to make is that amp modelling works great in a certain setup and depends on how we perceive tone. I use a Helix with my ...

Interesting the way he states that the amp was designed to sound good with all knobs set on 12 o'clock.
Plus he used a standard 1960A cab with G12T75's when testing the amp during the design.
