Holy shmokey this site was down for a long time! I'd be interested in all the technical mumbo jumbo what happened and how it got fixed, some detail on the server and its components that run the site. Welcome back JVM Forum!

Andy that is just a great work to get this forum live again. I appreciate that a lot, because this JVM-forum has given me lots of good infos to run my JVM.

By the way - you mentioned:

"Looking to the future i'm thinking of charging 5 gbp for a signup to the forum and so with 3-4 signups per month it should pay the months hosting, without the panic each time the yearly bill comes in, plus fund a remote backup system."

I think this is a reasonable idea to give the forum a solid fund in the future.

I will donate after this post.

Wow, I may not be the most active member, but I missed this lace on many occasions. Thanks to all who worked so hard to get it up and running again!

Thanks Andy! This is a great service that you provide and it is MUCH appreciated. The site went down JUST as I was getting ready to do all the mods.
I did them all at once so I don't know which ones were more important than others, but the total effect was incredible. Having been a Marshall owner since 1976, I wasn't really thrilled with the JVM..stiff...compressed...harsh...... Now it's the best Marshall I've ever owned - thanks to this forum. How would I go about making a donation to the forum? Again - THANK YOU!
