My freely downloadable EP, done with JVM

Post by deeaa » Wed Jan 15, 2014 6:34 am

Hello,

Here's my 'prog-stoner-rock' EP I made a few weeks back when I had a free weekend alone in the house.

It's the first set of songs I've made alone from scratch, starting from playing a digital Alesis drumkit to production and mixing and everything in between. In my previous solo work I've always recruited drummers or programmed them, or had someone play the solos in the least but this time I wanted to do it all alone. All guitars recorded with the JVM & my active-pickup axes.

Here are the songs separately in MP3:

http://deeaa.pp.fi/nine/04_DA_EverythingIsPossible.mp3
http://deeaa.pp.fi/nine/05_DA_Can't%20Change.mp3

And here's all five zipped: http://deeaa.pp.fi/nine/DA_2013_UNNAMED_EP.zip

Please check it out & spread freely if so inclined ;-)

Studio:home studio based on a 64bit W7 PC w/Cubase and Presonus Firepod & Zoom R-16 soundcards, outboard tube compressors and FX boxes and a selection of mics, AKG414, SM57, etc.
Releases:six albums of which one a solo album, dozens of demos, currently active in bands SPookbox http://www.mikseri.net/spookbox, Project-43 http://www.project-43.com/, Whobody http://www.mikseri.net/whobody

Just listened to the first one and it sounds really good! You're getting some great tones and the solo was nice! [smilie=headbang.gif]

This is excellent deeaa. I'm up to the second song (on headphones). Sounds f***n awesome [smilie=headbang.gif] [smilie=banana_smiley.gif]

### EDIT ###

I have listened to all five, and if I can figure out how, the EP is going on my phone. Does it have a name?

Play it like it's the last time it'll ever be heard.

Thanks! It is already also available on iTunes and soon Spotify and such. Now working on a full 10 song album which will be a bit more varied in tones and styles, and this time I have a real drummer, not doing it myself - and keyboards. Only doing the stringed instruments myself this time.
