JVM Clip using all channels

Post by NoWayBackRock » Fri Apr 12, 2013 7:58 pm

Hello,

For a new song project I´m working on, I am using the different tones available in the JVM which better serve each tonal signature I am after for each part, especially in terms of gain and native compression. [smiley-shreds]

https://soundcloud.com/binarytragedy/as ... n-see-base

INTRO: (0:00-0:20)
CLEAN ORANGE with just a little gain added to start breaking up and CRUNCH GREEN with moderate gain setting, panned left and right.

MAIN RIFF: (0:20-0:44)
OD1 GREEN gain cranked and OD2 ORANGE gain at 9:30

VERSE: (0:44-1:05)
I was after a base that feels heavy but with minimum distortion, so I used CLEAN RED with very moderate gain (feels compressed and warm) with some phaser effect and CRUNCH GREEN again, gain at about 3:00 with no added effect.

HARMONICS AND SINGLE NOTES:
OD2 Red, gain at 10:00, delay added via DAW
(I cheated only at the intro, overlapping two harmonics takes to make it longer [smilie=icon_cool.gif] )

From 1:05 on it basically repeats.

Recording setup:
Schecter C1 Classic -JVM 410H -Marshall 1960VB (V30s) - SHURE SM57 - FOCUSRITE SCARLETT - REAPER

Best,
Marcelo
