Cool George Lynch Sound Check Video

Post by Playing4JC » Wed Jul 13, 2011 7:44 pm

Here is a cool Lynch video that I am sure any fan of George will appreciate. George Lynch is definitely one of my favorite players. If I were forced to pick a top three it would be Jeff Beck, Yngwie and George Lynch.

Marshall YJM100, Malmsteen Strats, SoCal Charvel and a bunch of pedals.

I read somewhere on Rig-Talk or The Gear Page that Lynch was using a Dave Friedman "Naked" amp along with a Sullivan which is like a Vox AC30. It sounded like Lynch is running the two in tandem most of the time and each fills in the holes of the other. He may very well be using his signature cabinets here, but knowing Lynch there could be anything inside those cabinets. I am not sure if he is really using any of his signature products live or in the studio. His Randall amps may sound great, but not quite as good as a few boutique heads driving vintage speakers and vintage effects.

Ah, thanks! I was wondering what head that might have been in that video. No wonder it didn't look familiar!
