I like solid state amps for gigging in small venues, and to leave them in the car trunk without worrying.
This is a Peavey Special 130 from 1983 I've just bought, all original and it's one of the best solid state amps I have tryed.
The best solid state amp for me is still the Marshall Lead Mosfet for clean-crunch and dynamic sounds.
The peavey is very loud, nice eq and reverb, and very fat sounding, not bassy, FAT.
Now Im waiting for a new speaker, an Eminence Texas Heat, and a set of Burr Brown opamps to upgrade it.
If you know some more easy mods... just let me know.
