True Bypass Build

Post by aberry9475 » Sun Dec 30, 2018 6:16 am

Nothing fundamentally crazy or unique about this build, just wanted to share so DIY gear porn geeks like myself can enjoy.

Used DeMont 3PDT smooth clicks, gold plated (I think Planet Waves?) jacks, silver plated buss, silver plated teflon insulated hookup wire. Also just discovered WBT 4% solder - great stuff. I used some 25k trim pots instead of resistors so I can dial in the different color ultra bright LED's to uniform brightness. The blue one has an Analogman buffer wired to a DPDT at the end of the chain too, but I'm not sure I'll use it much.

Also, I built two of these and they're modular. If you place them next to each other end to end, all 8 switches are equally distanced. Thinking I'll use one up front and the other for fx loop, but maybe someday build a third and patch two together for the front end and have 8 loops.

Cheers,

AB

Oh, and big props to pedalpartsplus. I did all of my own machine work on my drill press so can't comment on their machining, but their powdercoating is top notch. Highly recommend.
