Stryker,

I especially love pics of home made rigs. I get so many good ideas that I might not have thought of otherwise, even though the end product may be something totally different. Good job. Thanks for posting.

[smilie=gt-happyup.gif] your welcome! and thanks for the comments! i tweak it from time to time(the pedal layouts as i add stuff or take away stuff) i like the design of the pedaltrain boards but the damn things are expensive so i made my own lowes jobbie! [smilie=icon_lol.gif]

Hi guys, [smilie=icon_biggrin.gif] ...

Nice to be one of the gang.

I have spent a while on the boogie board and recently found the advice/help I received from those guys invaluable. (I've had some 'lonestar' problems). Having recently given up the haul of a half stack, I needed to get some more mobile tone.
Decided on a combi of the Mesa LSC & JVM 205C to cover American & Brit bases. ( how cool my A/B swith already has A and B on it lol.)

Loving the 205C, but can you guys possibly help me with two questions, just posted a thread about the clean/crunch orange mode being no louder on my amp than my green mode.

http://jvmforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1630

And... do I need a fully wired midi cable for JVM 205C - pod xtl, or just a 3 wired one ?

Thanks guys.. Paul.

I think the 3 wired one is ok. I have a fully wired one but it is only a one way signal from the XTL. If the price is close I would buy the full version. You NEVER know when you may need it at a gig for something/one.

After beating my head against the wall, I've settled on this one:

Image

Guitar -> Tuner -> TS808 -> amp

Loop: EQ -> Wah -> Whammy -> Flanger -> Delay -> Sonic Stomp -> amp

Interesting....I haven't been able to get my wah to work nice in the loop and have it out front right now.
I just picked up the Whammy pedal...what a blast. Rage city!

Yeah, I had to move my wah back to the front so I'm going:

Guitar -> G-string -> Tuner -> Wah -> TS808 -> amp

Loop: EQ -> Whammy -> Flanger -> Delay -> Sonic Stomp -> amp

Yeah, Rage City!

Play with that Whammy -- string rakes and "chuckas" with the +2 octave engaged then bring it back down. Think the the band's DJ except on the guitar.

I used to have this humongous pedal board. I was tone hunting and couldn't find it. Then pulled everything off. Watched a RATM concert and put this stuff back on it. This is essentially Morello's board. It's what I use.

Yo guys

This is my pedalboard (rough quality picture taken on a mobile phone)

Guitar > Digitech Whammy 4 > Nova Wah > Small Stone > Boss Me-8 > Line 6 Delay > Marshall JVM 205H

The Behringer FCB1010 controls all channel switching via MIDI and selects all Whammy Presets.

The Boss ME-8 is an old multi fx which has an INCREDIBLE built in noise gate that works amazingly well with hi gain amps..it literally gates the noise without changing the tone. It's a really transparent multi fx.

A very simple setup, but it allows me to have a huge range of sounds. I'm considering getting a MIDI Looper to control the Nova Wah and the Small Stone, because i've found that MIDI switching saves a lot of time.

Check out my band here and feel free to download our demos:

Peace,

x Luca

Cool down-and-dirty get-the-job done boards...keeping it simple, straightforward and in-your-face real!

...as apposed to some boards which throw-in the kitchen sink and a tuna casserole. [smilie=icon_redface.gif]
