Pure JMV Metal riff, no overdrive - just OD red and yellow

Post by NoWayBackRock » Sat Nov 22, 2014 2:49 am

A staind-inspired riff with enough gain to avoid loosing clarity and sharpness, which in my JVM 410 means keeping OD red at 9:00 and OD yellow at 10:00. Delay and noise gate added to the solo and harmonic arrangement courtesy of my POD HD500 in the loop; the rythm tracks are pure and straight OD2 RED (100% right side) and OD1 YELLOW (100% left side) - solo and harmonics are OD1 red with delay as described [smiley-shreds]

Signal chain: Schecter Blackjack (active SD Blackouts) > JVM 410 > Marshall 1690BV (Celestion V30) > Sure sm 57 (aimed at halfway between center and border) > Focusrite Scarlett > Reaper

Best,
Marcelo

Damn, if i could get my JVM410 to sound like this, i would be in Heaven ! Guess the 1960AV is the missing one in my Rig, only have the EVH 5150 with it´s Greenbacks.
Sure the Schecter with it´s SD Blackouts help too, but i really love how tight and raw the Distortion is [smilie-rock]
